Napa Valley is like being in Provence
This is just the "Start" {I might, sort of, finish by February 28}
The "places to eat" are heart/soul of the region.
Originally it was "Grapes", then, "Olive/oils", now "Artisan Cheeses", but still it is Grapes, Stone walls around the vineyards, and Stone Buildings of the Wineries, w/ lots of flowers. The smell of the Grape-Crush in September/October. These are my favorite Tandem-bike rides.
I think it has the greatest number of really good places to eat (more impressive than its Wines) i.e. Meadowood, Auberge du Soliel, Martini House, Tres Vigne, Angele, Dry Creek Kitchen, Willies, Girl and the Fig, Glen Ellen Inn, Santi, Wappo, Redd, Bouchon, French Laundry, Mustards, Cindy's Back Street, - - (to be finished later) - (I listed in order of "Romanticness) - (this is sixteen without taxing my memory too bad-not a bad 'start'.) - (Its not all about Thomas Keller and Charlie Parsons - i.e. where is the best Hamburger? "over-the-top" restaurants can really do a Hamburger {&macaroni & cheese})
then
Next: small wineries, like Stonestreet, and Meadowood, ('really small ') and the "realest restaurant" i.e. "Cooks" in St Helena (deceptively ordinary/real power)
