Clean Slate- New goals
St Sat just doesn't work, mostly availability. It was never "first-choice", - in May 07, I will check out 'Two-places' that are the highest on my 'wish I lived there' list, and about Five that are 'plenty good enough'. So, in June, I will, pretty damn well know, "where it is", I want to be.
I want to be 2 1/2 hrs by TGV to Gare d'Lyon, and likewise on to CDG. It would be nice if the village had 5 or 10 really good restaurants(able to walk to) (or within a few miles). And , a 'not too far motorcycle ride' to Cassis, etc.. It should be a "One-year experiment", to see if it is really as good as I think it is. Even the smallest villages have a weekly 'Farmer's Market', a really good Patisserie, but, only a few have weekend 'Art Shows/Sales', "A Village Garage-Sale", and a "Parade of Sheep and Locals". They all seem to have the "Crowing Rooster" and the "Church Bells Ringing", nearby Vineyards, Olive orchards, Peach orchards, etc. Most would satisfy Patricia Wells, as to the basic needs for gourmet cooking, and she doesn't live that far away.
Possibly, having the Restaurants and Patisseries within walking, is often under-rated and under-appreciated. Eygalieres has all, except the "Parade", and maybe no where else is as expensive to buy. Really esoteric, but, a Glider/Soaring Airport is nearby, that is a good thing. and, lastly, 'No Travel connections', i.e. a Train Station is a good thing (really hard to get to, w/out a car), Van Gogh did most of his paintings nearby, and the Ruins of J. and A. Caesar, 2050 years ago, nearby.
2012 March - '22 month Goal' of starting at 5x10(6) is likely going to be 48 months,{due to unwinding ING} but the "MISS" is still 3X10SIXTH-- in interim -- adding to 2006, here, A place to get good espresso, best Croissants, outside tables to read the Herald each day, WiFi and cell Phn reception. Seductive, interesting women.
