Some of the 350 Pictures, Dec 06

(Metro Station in Paris-above) A Maison/Gite in Bonnieux, the bridge into Bonnieux, Pont de Julien, was built in 300BC

A "Fixxer" For Sale, Bonnieux

Left: My friend Pierre, grows 35 acres, 7 kinds of Olives, is at the 'new' Olive mill, 1/2 mile from Cabanon

Street in Apt (below) Underneath this 'Old' City is the older ruins of a Roman village.

The Yellow car, is my, 20 E/day, Citroen, 1 liter, a most economical rental, - similiar to what Russell Crowe, drove in "A Great Day", movie filmed in Bonnieux & Menerbes, 06.
The house is one of three Serendipity experiences.

Southern France, Dec 06

I finally went to the "Rental Cabanon", near St Sat, while there I found another "Rental" at Bennoiux. The weather was surprisingly warm, saw 8 or 10 bicyclist, each day, the restaurants really good and plentiful, and a few Serendipity experiences., to boot.
Some surprises; both TGVs were almost full, both Air France planes, also near-full, most of the roads in Luberon, seemed like 'just been re-paved', 100 Km Luberon Bike Trail, goes over the 2300 year old Pont Julien Bridge, a second, Bike trail, along the Durance River/Lourmarin, e Bay has a France site (to buy a bike, there).

December Trip to Provence

December 6, at 3:35 pm I fly out of SFO to PAR/CDG, and in 11 hours I am in Paris,
at 1135 am. I catch the TGV (Bullet-train) and in 2 1/2 hours, I am in Avignon.
And, just outside of the new Cortine TGV station I pick up a Citroen C3 1.4, and
drive to Apt/St Saturin les Apt, in about 45 minutes.
Then I plan to check out 'yearly-rental' maisons, and about twenty small villages, nearby (that Marie Gabrielle recommended, she has Watercolor classes, each year, in most of them, she, is also, my landlord.) I am going to buy a good, used bike, (did this 3 years ago, also, - this time it will be at least twice as good as that 03 bike), take some pictures, eat at some good restaurants, shop at the 'Farmers/Village Markets', check out 10 or so of 'my favorite' villages, look at a local French-immersion school in St Sat, spend a couple of days in Paris, and fly home. I think it is mostly, "a get-organized" kind of trip, for all the future trips of 07.
There are, only, two, sort of, bad things: December doesn't have 'real-good' weather, and the "Euro" is above 1.30
